Anna Crowe co-founded and was artistic director – and is now honorary president of – StAnza, Scotland’s poetry festival, in St Andrews, where she has lived for many years. She has translated three books by Catalan poet Joan Margarit for Bloodaxe: Tugs in the Fog: Selected Poems (2006, Poetry Book Society Recommended Translation), Strangely Happy (2011) and Love Is a Place (2016).

Her other translations include Barcelona Amor Final by Joan Margarit (Proa, 2007), Six Catalan Poets (Arc,  2013), No hi ha treva amb les fúries (with Joan Margarit, poems by R.S. Thomas, Proa, 2013, in Catalan/English); After Lermontov: Translations for the Bicentenary (with others, Carcanet, 2014), and Peatlands by Mexican poet Pedro Serrano (Arc, 2014).

Her own poetry collections include: Skating Out of the House (Peterloo Poets, 1997), A Secret History of Rhubarb (Mariscat, 2004), Punk with Dulcimer (Peterloo Poets, 2006), Transitaria (Susanne Ramsenthaler, 2009), Figure in a Landscape (Mariscat, 2010; Callum MacDonald Memorial Award, 2011, and PBS Pamphlet Choice, published in Catalan/English as Paisatge amb figura (Ensiola, 2011) with engravings by Andreu Maimó; and Finding My Grandparents in the Peloponnese (Mariscat 2013). Her work is also included in Territories: Writing from Innu Assi, Québec and Scotland (Edinburgh International Book Festival/Scottish Poetry Library, 2015).
