Nash and Holloway-Smith on Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Prize shortlist

Wayne Holloway-Smith and Miriam Nash have both been shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry Prize for First Full Collection 2018.  Alarum by Wayne Holloway-Smith and All the Prayers in the House by Miriam Nash are both in the running for this year's prestigious £5000 award. 

The winner will be announced at a special award night in Belfast on Tuesday 3 July 2018 and invited to read at Gluxman Ireland House at New York University for the annual Tom Quinlan Lecture in Poetry.

All the Prayers in the House was runner-up in the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award 2016. Alarum was shortlisted for the Roehampton Poetry Prize 2017, and was a Poetry Book Society Wild Card Choice for Winter 2017. ‘Short’, the final poem in the collection, won the the Poetry Society’s 2016 Geoffrey Dearmer Prize.
