How to use this site
1:
Navigation
To get around the site and read our reviews, interviews and features,
use the grey links in the top-left of each
page. These link to the main areas and indexes of the site,
highlighting the section you are currently in with a light-gray
background. Your location is also stated directly below these links.
These links are all repeated for convenience at the bottom of each
page in red text. The links on the right-hand side beneath the Search
Box highlight areas of the site you might otherwise have
overlooked.
Some sections - such as this one - may have more than one page.
Links between pages appear just underneath the page title.
2:
Searching
We now have all of our 400 titles and 250 poets listed in an online
database. Use the Search Box in the
top-right of every page to search the catalogue and articles.
2.1 By title
To search for a particular book,
replace the words "Search here!"
with a few words from the book's title or description, and then
click on "Go". You will
be taken to a page listing every entry in the catalogue that
contains those words, ranked by order of best match. Click on
a book or article title to link to that Book
Page or article.
Remember to avoid common words like "the" or "poetry" as these will produce too many matches to be useful.
2.2 By author
If you want to find out more about a particular author
click on the black arrow next to "Choose an
author". Here you can browse through an alphabetical list
of all our authors currently in print. Selecting one will take you
to an Author Page about that author,
with further links to related Book Pages
and articles.
2.3 By subject
If you want to browse the catalogue by subject, click on the black
arrow next to "Choose a subject", and
browse an alphabetical list of the subjects our authors write about.
Selecting one will take you to a page of links to related Book
Pages.
3:
Link colours
All links with the exception of the grey navigation in the top-left
of the screen are this colour
Visited links are this colour.
Watch out for links within search result pages: for intstance a
Book Page will have an author name
at the top. This is always a link to that author's Author
Page.
