Charlotte Buckley (she/her) is a Dublin-based poet from Gravesend, Kent. Her debut collection,
Raising Water, is published by Bloodaxe Books in 2027. Her poetry has appeared in
Poetry Ireland Review, The Stinging Fly, Banshee, fourteen poems, The Rialto, Mslexia, and elsewhere. She has been shortlisted for the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award, the Basil Bunting Poetry Award, the Jane Martin Poetry Prize, the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Prize, and the Aryamati Poetry Prize for Peace and Social Change. She is an alumna of the Poetry Ireland Introductions Series (2024), the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers’ Conference (2023), and the Irish Writers Centre National Mentoring Programme (2022). Her work has been supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. She holds a PhD in ecofeminist poetics from Trinity College Dublin, where she was an Irish Research Council Scholar in the School of English.
